About this site
This site started in 2006 and became a blog some time around 2009. Being a designer’s site, it gets redesigned every year or so. There’s no particular reason for the redesigns, and my only justification is that I enjoy the process of picking fonts and writing simple CSS. I love “boring” websites.
This design keeps things straight-forward: a few greys, a couple of type sizes, some media queries. Conceptually, I’m looking to design a blog that looks buttoned up, but diminuitive—visually halfway between a site design and text editor. Everything is typeset in Newsreader, built using Jekyll, and hosted by Github.
This dispatch is coming to you from Brooklyn, New York. I acknowledge the Lenape people, the traditional custodians of Metoac (Long Island). I pay respect to their Elders past and present and to all indigenous people of this land.
